PAST PROJECTS

Salem Christian School |2013/14

In 2013-14, Salem Christian School came under my direction and leadership. This PreK-8th elementary school is an outstanding academic institution in Logan Square/Humboldt Park with moderate student enrollment. However, poor fiscal policies threatened to close its doors. After strategic, painstaking changes and commitment to recovery, the school is still in operation, renamed New Life Academy.

Goals:

Revitalize School Spirit, Boost Student Enrollment, Stabilize Organizational Infrastructure, Develop a Strong Alumni Network and Donor Base.

He has showed you,

O man, what is good.

And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. -Micah 6:8

Chicago Dream Center

The Chicago Dream Center is a multi-faceted non-profit organization that exists to help individuals and families to move toward self-sufficiency and to overcome poverty and its ill-effects. The CDC provides wraparound services through an extensive program network of shelters, pantries, outreaches, residential recovery and affordable housing.

We dedicate our lives to fighting the vicious cycle of poverty, including the forms of injustice and oppression tied to it. We want to make a difference in our community and our world even if it means reaching one life at a time.  We share faith, hope and love through holistic programs and education.

More than just social work - there is a name behind every statistic, a face behind every name, and a story behind every face. We challenge others to look deeper as we engage in human trafficking advocacy and rescue, focusing our work on women and young girls.

Goals: Facilitated growth from fledgling organization to a  multi-faced social service agency.  Stabilized growth, expanded financial support network, from 2007 - 2015.

AOTK - Board Governance

Army of the Kind is committed to serving families that live in poverty. We serve as advocates for children who are in need of support in order to become responsible and fulfilled adults. We work towards the goal of stopping the cycle of poverty.

Starting with children in the Dominican Republic, now in Haiti, Peru, and Africa. Our goal is to reach impoverished communities with resources to provide clean water, nutrition, and shelter to children who live in extreme poverty and unsanitary conditions.

Goals:  Served as a board consultant for several years while AOTK aimed to: build a second level to our orphanage in DR, provide wheelchairs and a ramp for the Special Needs orphans in Haiti, support the school in Burkina Faso and provide a fresh water supply for sustainability.
